No. 13 New Providence captured the NJSIAA Group 1 state championship on Saturday afternoon at Jersey Mike’s Arena in Piscataway.
The Pioneers withstood a late Glen Ridge after a strong third quarter to take home their fifth crown in team history and fourth as a member of Group 1 (2010, 2011, 2015). New Providence also won Group 2 in 2023.
